how to delete search history over internet

Many of us do regular browsing of many illegal contents or adult contents on internet browsers like Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc but do we actually delete all the history from the “delete history” option on the browser .

No actually we don’t .

Unfortunately , the web searches are carefully tracked and saved in databases , where your personal information can be used for almost anything , including highly targeted advertising and price discrimination based on your data profile.

But the good news is Google ,  Microsoft’s Bing and  many other provide ways to delete the search history or avoid leaving one.

Google makes it easy to find your personal web history, manage it and even delete it. Just go to google. com/history and log in to your Google account. There, you will see your entire history and can browse it by category.

If you would like this history to go away, click the gear icon in the upper right of the page and choose Settings. Here, you can turn off search history, so Google won’t save future searches. You can delete your history from Google’s database or just remove specific items from your recent history.

You can turn off and erase your search history on Microsoft Bing at bing.com/profile/history. Yahoo lets you turn off future search histories but doesn’t have a way to delete the old one. Visit search. yahoo.com/preferences/ to turn off your history.

Your search history may contain some of the most personal information you will ever reveal online: your health, mental state, interests, travel locations, fears and shopping habits, may be your account information as well which can otherwise be used to target you for theft . Since that is information most people would want to keep private. To protect yourself from any unwanted problem you must delete such data from the database.
You can also Hide your browsing History in a different manner using Virtual Machines.
If you obtain a Virtual machine of sorts (Microsoft Virtual PC or VMWare – more on that later) and install an operating system of choice on there (Linux for example, it’s free after all) then you have an entirely fresh machine for use.

Avoid being caught by using another machine, a virtual one. No longer must you worry about viruses, malware or your girlfriend discovering your Pornotube addiction.

How to hide your history (adult or otherwise) is a big problem and a good question for many who have some browsing habits of porn content.
Because you’re using a virtual machine it keeps whatever you’re doing entirely separate of your main machine which means if another comes along and looks through your normal Internet history they will be none-the-wiser as to what you’ve been doing. Also you can browse *whatever* you want without fear of spyware because what would it matter if your virtual machine got spyware on it? Just reinstall and keep on trucking.

You can also use incognito window to hide your browsing history from others.

Many times when you want to browse the web without saving certain info you can use incognito mode in Google Chrome.

How incognito mode works:

  • Webpages that you open and files that you download while you’re incognito aren’t recorded in your browsing and download histories.
  • All new cookies are deleted after you close all incognito windows that you’ve opened.
  • Changes you make to your Google Chrome bookmarks and general settings while in incognito mode are still saved.

Tip: If you’re using a Chromebook, you can use the guest browsing feature as an alternative to incognito mode.

You can have both incognito mode windows and regular windows open at the same time, and switch between the two.

You can simply open the incognito window from the chrome menu.
